Light red-brown with a graceful arching open habit.  The flowers are borne mid-summer on the last quarter of the stems that ascend and then arch, which differs from other brown New Zealand sedges.
The whole plant takes on a new appearance in the autumn as the foliage ages to oranges and reds. Height 45cm. Spread 60cm.
